Yorkshire tech unicorn, Sky Betting & Gaming, announced the creation of 34 new roles today within its Data Tribe in Leeds, evidencing the strength of the city’s data tech talent pool.
The digital sector is set to be a main driver in the economic growth of Leeds and the Northern Powerhouse, supporting the creation of an estimated 800,000 new jobs UK-wide by 2050. There are currently an estimated 24,000 digital jobs in Leeds in a sector that’s worth £688 million, with a growing number of those being roles data science.

Sky Betting & Gaming will appoint a new Head of Data, a Head of Tech, a Head of Marketing Tech, two Group Platform managers, 10 new Customer Relationship Management roles, two Marketing Technology Product Owners, four technologist roles and a new marketing team to support a further 13 technologist roles.
